How does it work?
The Block WAF System® follows the principle according to which the pressure exerted on a fluid is transmitted in all directions with equal intensity. By applying this principle to the stopper, carbon dioxide enters the teat through the hole and expands it against the glass wall, thus creating a state of overpressure inside. The fixing bracket has been designed to counteract the vertical thrust received by the stopper and therefore guarantees a seal of over 6 atmospheres.
The seal has been certified with a specific test* by an accredited laboratory. The test showed that the internal pressure of a bottle of sparkling wine remained virtually unchanged for an observation period of 72 hours at a constant temperature.

The first stopper designs were created with the idea of an object that would exude conviviality and conviviality.
For over forty years, WAF has patented and produced stoppers whose tightness and efficiency are recognized by professionals worldwide. The first stopper for closing sparkling wine/bubbles was created in 1977, at the dawn of this previously underdeveloped market. The name of the first historic product was 1/C, its quality being that it excellently preserved wine.
